It Girl in IT

I knew from the moment I started exploring Facebook in 1st grade that social media would be something I’d take an interest in. I’ve mentioned in my first blog how I spent my leisure time playing Pet Society, Coco Girl, and Farmville.

Other than that, I discovered the beauty of creating and owning a Facebook page. However, I did not run the page alone, in fact, I was only an admin and it belonged to my friend. For a brief moment in my childhood life, it was a realm where I could splash and pour out my creativity.

The picture below is what creativity meant to me in the year 2013.

Once again, it showcased the epitome of my humble beginnings. Years after this “phase”, I found myself opening a small online business. I found amusement in creating pubs and content, managing my social media accounts, planning strategies to entice customers, and observing the preferences of online consumers. Hence, I could say that if I were to pick a career related to IT, I’d do well as an internet/social media marketing specialist.

a) Developing a brand's social media strategy is the responsibility of social media marketing specialists. This includes developing a comprehensive strategy that fits overall business objectives, formulating methods to attain those objectives, and generally investigating, testing, and optimizing various social media channels to appeal to a brand's target market (Brain Station, 2022).

Back when I was still in Senior High School, I joined numerous seminars related to starting your own business. I don't know what's gotten into me during those times but I presume it was severely fueled by boredom because of the pandemic. Nevertheless, taking notes from professionals paid off since I was able to build my online shop’s branding.

Thrifting and upcycling clothes are actually good for the planet as it slows down the continuous spread of fashion pollution. So in a way, purchasing and wearing pre-loved and thrifted clothes is an act of caring for the environment, hence I decided the two words together "Care Wear".

b) Next, a social media marketing specialist should know how to interact with their target audience on social media, develop a brand voice, and provide material that appeals to them. Due to the fact that each channel has its own algorithm and optimization strategies, scheduling plays a significant role in the work of social media specialists, who make sure that posts are routinely scheduled for the best days and times on particular channels (Brain Station, 2022).

Catering to the needs of your possible consumers must be your top priority. The above pictures are sample clothing collections I've released in the past in an attempt to offer a wide variety of choices for online buyers.

I can't believe I considered being a content creator/influencer, lawyer, and social media marketing specialist in a span of a week. Truly, the possibilities are endless. But one thing's for sure, I'd be the It Girl in IT.
