Plan Your Look with FashPlan

 Never the “techy” type to make this possible, but wouldn’t it be nice to have an app on your phone that will aid you in planning your whole look for the day? I’m talking about hair, makeup, and outfit, besties! If you’ve watched the movie Clueless, remember the scene where Cher chose her outfit through her computer? Definitely every Y2K baby's dream!



Well, for this blog, let’s pretend I miraculously became a software developer overnight, and this is me introducing you to the app I made: FashPlan!

Planning outfits for me to wear the next day is already a routine that I'm used to, but sometimes when my schedule is jam-packed, I trust my last-minute fashion instinct. However, my instinct (especially when my mind is overflowing with things) can get a little foggy and inaccurate sometimes, resulting in an obviously rushed outfit of the day. I don't know about you, but for me, wearing clothes I'm not confident with ruins my entire day. 

Hence I decided to come up with the app, FashPlan, short for Fashion Planner. Unlike the clip from Cher's experience above, FashPlan will help you not only with clothes but with your hairstyle and makeup for the day! Kind of similar to playing Y8.com dress-up and makeover games back when we were kids! 

The first thing you need to do is set up your virtual self. And no, I'm not talking about the cartoonized version of you as the avatar. FashPlan will have this AI scanner to help you build your virtual self. For accuracy, you can also input your exact measurements manually. 

Now to the fun part: PLANNING. By clicking the home page, it will bring you to this panel. 


A recommendation list will pop up to make your life easier. You can choose from the different trendy aesthetics of the season. 


One specific thing about FashPlan is that it loves to customize! You don't have to buy all the necessary makeup or clothes for your desired look, just input the color palettes of all the eyeshadow, blushes, and lipstick you own and it will generate a look for you!



For your virtual closet, you can take a picture of all your clothes so you can plan your outfits ahead of time and put them in a designated folder. Like this one below.


It will show the same feature as Cher's get ready with me video since you've already set up your AI virtual self. That way, you'll know if the clothes fit your preferences for the day.

5) It will help you identify what specific types of makeup, hairstyle, and clothing do not compliment you.

It Girl in IT

I knew from the moment I started exploring Facebook in 1 st grade that social media would be something I’d take an interest in.
